CLIENTS: We focus on the food and tourism industries. In addition to the marquee clients below, we've worked on projects for North Carolina's TerraVita Food & Drink Festival (2018); The Bechtler Museum of Art in Charlotte, NC; Quanto Basta Restaurant, Winston-Salem, NC; the Fullsteam Brewery, Durham, NC; Cheerwine in relationship with Boone-Oakley; the National Association of Pecan Shellers, Atlanta; and Got To Be NC Competition Dining (statewide competition launch).

The Asbury and The Dunhill Hotel

Without PR, a restaurant is like New Orleans without jazz. We tell local, regional, and national media the story of Executive Chef (and rancher on the side) Matthew Krenz and the uptown Charlotte restaurant at The Dunhill Hotel. We facilitate and promote the Collaborative Series program, provide social media, and managed a sucessful awards campaign resulting in the hotel being named Historic Hotel of the Year (Under 75 rooms) in 2017. 

Jacksonville NC Tourism (TDA)

Put heads in beds? Develop events that attract lots of people? We do that! We suggested a three-pronged approach tapping military heritage, abundant outdoor activities, and events to attract travelers. When the city dedicated the Montford Point Marine Memorial honoring the first African-American Marines in U.S. history, our PR efforts landed coverage in the Washington Post and Associated Press. We hosted the first media tour in Spring, 2017.

Art + Adventure in The Heart of NC

We supported the North Carolina Zoo's announcement of the birth of a special baby rhino; AP placements went global and included the NY Times and Washington Post. Online art sites and Charlotte/Triangle drive markets were introduced to the Seagrove Potters--the largest concentration of working potters in the USA--via two successful FAM tours and focused pitching. Richard Petty, hiking, downtown Asheboro and more provided additional fodder for media visits and placements. 

Old 96 Tourism District - SC

The historic home of Benjamin Mays, barbecue festivals and joints, Revolutionary War heritage and the heart of peach country welcomes you to explore hidden gems and getaways in northwest South Carolina. Campaigns include media invitations to Greenwood, SC's Festival of Flowers, a deep dive into the world of peaches, visits to Carolina Moon Distillery and much more. Currently, we're working on a social media initiative. We proudly partner with Martin Armes, Raleigh, to serve this client.

Olde English District Tourism - SC

Fabulous food finds, including the Chicken Stew Capital (and Hash!) Capital of the USA, Revolutionary War heritage, some of the world's oldest pottery made by Catawba Indians, breweries, historic Camden and much more. Our Spring, 2018 fam with six media guests resulted in 13 stories, three television segments, two national placements, and 233K social media shares. DKCG proudly partners with Martin Armes, Raleigh, on this contract.

EUE/Screen Gems Studios

We confess, it was fun to have a beloved, 11-year client in the entertainment business. EUE/Screen Gems Studios provides the studio infrastructure for their clients to create movies, television and streaming content. Our services included website management, social media, PR, crisis and public affairs communications, marketing, SEO and B2B email blasts for studios in Atlanta, Wilmington, NC and Miami.

Asheville Bed & Breakfast Association

Looking for the ultimate guides to Asheville NC food and experiences? This 16-member association made it easy for visitors to find high-quality inns with wi-fi, modern amenities and gourmet food. From 2014-2017, we provided content, SEO and media relations. The Asheville Bed and Breakfast Association Fall Farm & Artisan Tour earned a nod from the New York Times in its first year. In the following years, we landed coverage in Food + Wine, Atlanta Magazine, Hype Orlando, Travel Pulse and more. 

Lake Lure & The Blue Ridge Foothills/Rutherford County Tourism

Known for Lake Lure and Chimney Rock State Park, this small-town-friendly western NC destination was ripe with stories. PR placements from this year-long partnership included USA TODAY, the BBC, Yahoo News and drive markets. We produced their first travel guide and won a NATJA award, enhanced their website and began content marketing with a blog, consumer eblasts, PR and Google Adwords.

Visit Winston-Salem NC

Our three-year PR campaign established Winston-Salem as an emerging culinary destination surrounded by more than 30 Yadkin Valley wineries; it's a place where history comes to life. We developed the Moravian Cookie Trail as a storytelling tool, reminded media of the area's unique holiday celebrations and garnered national coverage for the oldest ongoing Easter Sunrise Service in the USA.
